Verizon Fascinate and Guest Bloggers

Hey there everyone. I'm not dead, contrary to popular belief.

I am, however, without much time. As you can see, this deficit in free time has significantly reduced the amount of content I can push across this blog.

Some other factors include my recent purchase of Sid Meier's Civilization V, the third best game in existence (second only to StarCraft II: WoL and Diablo II: LoD), and my recent aquisition of the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon.

Civilization V is absolutely amazing! If you've never played any of the previous installments of the Civilization series, I strongly suggest you download the demo on Steam, as it will give you a taste of the pure epicness of the game. Here's the trailer and a small glimpse of what you may experience:

In other news, I'm looking for a guest blogger! I'm planning to have a Guest Blog Week. I've already got two entries completed, and two more people who are interested in writing. So if you want to do one, feel free to email me: thunderclaww@gmail.com

So, for the next blog idea, I was thinking of a review. I'll review either the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon, or Sid Meier's Civilization V. Vote in the poll!

Have a blog idea? Comment below and I may do it!

    Twitter Posts? Tweets? Gurgles? Jeeps?!?

So what exactly do you call an update on Twitter, one of the most popular social networks and micro-blogging services out there? Do you call it a Twitter post? Do you call it a "tweet"? A status update?

Before I get to the video, I'd like to explain "jeeps". Back when the founders of Twitter were deciding what to call their social network, they had narrowed the name down to two names. One was "Twitter". The other was "Jitter". Twitter was chosen out of a hat, and that's where "tweets" came from. If it was called Jitter, then we might be saying, "Hey, did you read my last jeep?" Now, aren't you glad it wasn't called "Jitter"?

This video is done by Stephen Colbert and is about the fight to solidify "tweet" as a real word. Website was recently made into one word. Any bets on how long it takes for "tweet" to become a real word?
